About Emmalyn Davis School of Dance
Our History
Established in 1964 by the beloved Emmalyn Davis Johnson, our studio has been a cornerstone of the community and a home for generations of dancers. With a passion for teaching and a heart for her students, Mrs. Emmalyn built more than a dance studio - she built a family, a tradition, and a legacy.
In 1999, a young student named Haley Herring first stepped into the studio and began training under Mrs. Emmalyn’s careful guidance. Over the years, Haley’s love for dance deepened, and so did her respect for her mentor. Today, she proudly carries the torch as the studio’s owner and director, preserving Mrs. Emmalyn’s vision while guiding a new generation of dancers.
Rooted in tradition and inspired by the future, our studio remains a place where technique meets creativity, and every dancer is encouraged to grow not only in skill, but in confidence, character, and joy.
